The International Baccalaureate (IB) and other partners collaborated on a report to promote student wellbeing in schools, focusing on educational innovations that address mental health challenges, isolation, and academic pressure. This study is based on global research, highlighting a report by the Oxford University Wellbeing Research Centre. Fifteen innovations from 13 countries were selected to improve student wellbeing through holistic, evidence-based approaches. Despite challenges such as lack of funding, rigid educational structures, and cultural barriers, these innovations have proven to be scalable and effective. The report emphasizes the importance of prioritizing student wellbeing as a foundation for academic success and the need for teacher training in this area.
