Organised by Fira de Barcelona and EduTech Cluster, EdTech Congress Barcelona 2026 was held on February 4–5 to explore the ethical impact of emerging technologies and AI in education. The programme gathered educational leaders, ICT managers, public sector representatives and corporate learning professionals to share insights and strategic solutions for integrating technology across educational levels —from K-12 to higher education, vocational training and corporate learning— while ensuring a human-centred perspective.
A standout feature of this edition was the strategic alliance with Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), one of the world’s leading audiovisual technology events. This partnership enhanced the congress’s dual focus on pedagogy and technology and offered attendees access to cutting-edge audiovisual solutions for learning environments. The event included exhibition zones, immersive classroom labs, investor forums, demos and an interdisciplinary hackathon focused on educational inclusion.
International speakers addressed the ethical challenges and opportunities posed by AI, emphasising the need for thoughtful, responsible use of technology that supports inclusive, sustainable and people-centred learning models for the future.
