AI4EDU Unveils Strategy for Ethical and Responsible AI in Education

Noelia Camacho,

The AI4EDU initiative, led by Edutech Cluster in partnership with a strategic consortium of Catalan organizations and co-funded by ACCIÓ, made its first official public presentation at the EdTech Congress Barcelona. The project’s primary goal is to support EdTech companies in adapting to the new EU AI Act and forthcoming national regulations by providing practical compliance tools.

Key elements of the initiative include an interactive digital self-assessment tool that enables companies to measure their risk and regulatory compliance levels, and an operational compliance guide that translates complex legislation into clear steps for developers and educational managers. The project brings together technologists, educators and communication experts to ensure solutions are both compliant and pedagogically sound.

The EdTech Congress provided a platform to reinforce AI4EDU’s commitment to transparency and responsibility in AI deployment within education, with the aim of positioning the Spanish EdTech sector as an international benchmark for ethical and compliant AI.
