Edugenia, the SaaS platform that helps training centres, academies, and training management organizations create and keep their courses up to date through artificial intelligence, has joined the Edutech Cluster as a new member company. With this addition, Edugenia becomes the only company from the Canary Islands in the cluster, expanding its geographical presence beyond mainland Spain.
WHAT EDUGENIA DOES
Edugenia generates tailored training content, including text, video, and SCORM packages, adapted to the specialties and durations required for publicly funded and subsidized training programmes. It also enables existing courses to be updated without rebuilding them from scratch through a module-based credit system. The platform holds the ISO/IEC 42001 certification for artificial intelligence management systems, a certification that remains uncommon in the Spanish-speaking edtech sector.
WHY THEY JOINED THE CLUSTER
“Joining the Edutech Cluster gives us direct access to what we need most at this stage: being close to other companies that have already solved challenges similar to ours and that understand how unique it is to sell technology to training providers. It is not the same sales cycle as a generic SaaS product. We are also excited to be the first Canary Islands company in the cluster, as we believe that brings a different perspective,” explains Carlos Trejo, Director of Centro de Estudios Kuma and co-founder of Edugenia.
“We come from a training centre with more than 53 years of experience, so we understand the challenge from the inside. What training providers truly need is not more technology, but technology that saves them time and effort without forcing them to change the way they deliver their courses. Being part of this cluster connects us with companies that think in the same direction,” adds Raúl Santana Trejo, CTO of Edugenia.
