Andorra Hosts Its First Educational Technology Forum

Noelia Camacho,

Andorra held its first Educational Technology Forum, organized by the Government of Andorra and the EduTech Cluster, with support from Andorra Telecom. The event brought together education professionals, institutional leaders, and tech sector representatives, serving as a strategic space for reflection ahead of the EdTech Congress Barcelona 2026, scheduled for February 4-5, 2026.

Minister Ladislau Baró opened the forum, emphasizing that digitalization “must be a tool serving the educational project,” highlighting progress in teacher training, child protection, and ethical digital skills development. He presented the Comprehensive Plan for the Good Use of Educational Technologies, comprising 30 actions to support schools in their digital transformation, stressing that technology should enhance learning and holistic student development, not be an end in itself.

The forum included two panel discussions on the role of school leadership and educational policies to foster teacher and institutional digital competence, and a closing keynote by journalist Montse Rigall, offering a critical and inspiring perspective on current and future challenges.

The day facilitated experience sharing, reflection on change processes, and exploration of the growing role of artificial intelligence in learning, positioning Andorra as an active player in the debate on the future of digital education and a strategic partner for the EdTech Congress Barcelona 2026.
