The Bienaventurada Virgen María Irlandesas Schools have been appointed as Google Reference Network centres, which recognises the incorporation of Google digital tools in the educational project they implemented throughout their schools, for which they were able to count on the support of ieducando, a Premier Partner of Google for Education.
The journey towards attaining this recognition began in 2017, when the BVM Irlandesas Schools decided to implement a unique and comprehensive transformation plan in all their classrooms, in order to adapt to the latest educational needs. The project, which was named Ciudadanos Digitales Colegios BMV (BMV School Digital Citizens), involved incorporating Google for Education in all the organisation’s various schools throughout Spain, which contain a total of 5,596 students and 392 teachers.
The project was implemented at all levels, from pre-school to secondary school and vocational courses, and was an important transformation process that involved, among other measures, the adoption of Chromebooks as a device for teaching activities by both students and teachers, and Google Workspace as the main backbone for administrative and teaching management in all Irlandesas Schools.
Furthermore, with the help of ieducando, a training schedule was developed for the teachers, enabling them to obtain various Google certifications, such as Level 1 Educator, Level 2 Educator and Certified Trainer, and classroom work has been updated through the adaptation of methodologies, classroom dynamics and work materials.
Obtaining the Google Reference Network recognition is the culmination of an educational plan that BVM Irlandesas Schools have been developing for years, which has also become a benchmark for many other schools throughout Spain. Ieducando played a fundamental role in this process thanks to its support and experience in the development of innovative projects.
